Weekend in Sydney with my gurly gurlz

What a blast - just got back from Sydney with five other wonderful women. We had such a great time - we can't wait to go back.
Lots of dancing, lots of wine, lots of walking : thank goodness : I came home weighing lighter than before I went.
Now I have to drop a few kilos before we go to the UK for Xmas.

+.3 - 19.10.6

Well after the week I've had - I'm surprised that it was only .3. So good on me for not gaining too much in a crisis. Although it has prompted me to go back to the points plan. Three weeks before I go to Sydney with my gurly gurlz and I want to get back to 13.2 lost instead of this rubbish 10 kg lost. Agghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-.3 12.10.6

OMG! My computer got a virus and all my settings have been lost. How hard is it when you forget your user names and passwords.
One week of no alcohol and all I lost was .3 - bah hum bug!!!!
I relented last night and had 3 glasses out of pure personal frustration, but am back track again today.

From tomorrow - I am not going to drink alcohol for five weeks.
I'm going to the gym three to four times a week and following the no count plan. I can't do much more than that - but be patient.

+.1 - 10.8.6 the yoyo continues

I'm not too phased about a 100 gram gain as it is TTOM. I know I didn't do too badly, so hopely it will show up next week. :-)

.7 loss - woo hoooo!

I increased my resistance at the gym this week and have been concentrating on what I've been eating on no count - I did still however drink a little over my alcohol limit for the weekend - will try better this weekend. Also will try to get to the gym more often.
Soup veges and red meat will get me there!!!

1 kg gain - 20.7.6

Wow TTOM comes around real fast - it's a real bummer when it impacts on your weight loss. Better things to come next week.

Thursday, July 13, 2006

-.7 - but I don't know how

I went to the gym once (the day before weigh in), and I was on no count for week 2, and I forgot a little to count my wine (again). But I lost .7 - only .8 to get back to where I was - hopefully this week, and then I can move forward again. 10 kilos by Christmas - here I come!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday, July 06, 2006

.5 loss - yeh

Went back to the gym and switched to no count this week - and lost .5 kg - the roller coaster ride continues.

Monday, July 03, 2006

TTOM, no gym, no water, no tracking - lots of wine.
2 kg gain - that's all I'm going to say.

.7 loss yeh for me - 22.6.6

.7 loss - Drank plenty of vege and pumpkin soup this week and am back into the gym, which has paid off.
As a motivation I've put ten red magnets on the fridge - one for each kilo that I want to loose before Christmas - so with each kilo gone, a magnet comes off the fridge. Until there are none left and I weigh 85 kilo - WOW!!!
Am getting plenty of comments lately that I look good, and think alot of that comes from feeling good about yourself.

Lost my MoJo!!

As Austin Powers would say - I seem to have lost my mojo once again (in my case motivation). After being sick (three weeks ago is a long time, I know), not going to the gym for two weeks (am back now) - I'm finding it hard to get back into the ww routine. The food side of things just seems to kick along okay - it's the alcohol that I'm having the problem with. It's just too easy to have a few drinks on Thursday night after the ww week, then a few more on Friday night with hubby, and hell why not continue through Saturday and Sunday - only problem is that only leaves three days to combat any damage before weigh in :-( Ho hum - this week I have to make a bigger effort. I lost .3 today, so that means I'm sitting at 1.1 kg heavier than my lightest weight - so I'm pretty well okay with that.
On a brighter note : I just happened into Target today to see if they had any winter jackets on sale, and oh yes indeedy!!! Marked down from $70 to $35 how could I resist : I bought a black swede type jacket with fluffy neck and wrists in a size 16 - is very tight but oh so nice - so there's 5 - 10 kilos that I have to loose prior to Xmas to be able to wear it on my UK holiday.

Naughty Girl!

I've been a naughty girl !!
After being sick, I lost the momentum a little and gained .6 last week and gained .8 yesterday. I'm not too worried though as I haven't been to the gym and haven't been tracking - so what do I expect. I will tackle it this week.
Our ww leader has put up a drawing of a leafless tree and called it a winter challenge - for each kilo we lose we get to draw a leaf and for special milestones we get to draw a blossom - so by spring - the tree will look as lovely as we will :-)
I decided that it's time to get rid of my 1626 clothes, so now I can't afford to put the weight back on, because I don't have any size 18 - 20 clothes to fall back on. Crossroads have had an amazing sale and I think I've totally exhausted the shop. I've bought so many clothese that my walkinrobe is chockers and I've had to go out and buy more coat hangers. Ha!
Off to the races tomorrow with hubby and will wear one of my new tops - it certainly gives you more confidence being able to wear something that fits well and compliments your body shape.
Also hubby has decided that we're off to England for Christmas to spend time with his Dad : there's a little more motivation to lose weight. Think of sitting in those plane seats comfortably - yes yes yes !!!

Goal for May

Achieved a 2.8 kg loss of my targetted 3 kg loss for May - I am very very happy with this :-)

1.8 loss - 25.5.6 yahoo buckaroo!!!!

After staying the same last week, I lost 1.8 kg's today - my biggest loss ever! Okay, okay!!! I know I was sick this week - but I will take any loss whenever and however I can :-) That puts me a third of the way along my journey and it also equates 2 whole stone. Yahooooooo buckaroooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm fitting back into more and more clothes that I haven't worn for six or more years. This morning I tried on my size 16 jeans and they come up over my hips, but the zip wont meet and I certainly wouldn't be able to sit down in them - ha! Soon though. Size 14 and I get to open the bottle of Moet Champers that sitting in the wine rack : yum yum.

.3 gain - 11.5.6

TTOM, wearing pants instead of my light dress, oh! and I forgot to shave my legs this all makes a difference (in my mind anyway, but I'm really not serious about the legs bit). I had a pretty good week - so I'm not worried and just refocusing on next week.

Everyone needs a big loss every so often to keep them motivated - this is my week. I don't think I did any thing different, maybe a little less wine over my busy weekend. But this brings me back to 11.7 kg gone! The lightess I've been for a very long time. I'm starting to fit back into my size 16 wardrobe - which is good because a lot of it is winter clothes.

.2 gain - 27.4.6

Oops! I did it again! A .2 gain. My motivational wave has crashed and I'm trying to stir up a new wave of enthusiasm. Maybe my new nails weigh .2 ha ha! We've had so many long weekends recently which doesn't help. I need to focus and regroup! Otherwise I'll end up like the big lady at Bunnings eating the sausage sizzle.

New hair - new nails

Took the plunge this week and got my hair cut coloured and foils, then on a whim I got gel nails - which are far too long, but oh so nice, a real confidence builder! Who is this new woman! New photo to come soon - hopefully before the hair style grows out.

1.1 kg gain - 20.4.06 Aghhhhhhhhhh!

Easter has hit home, and it has hit hard. A 1.1 kg gain, but we had such a good time achieving that. Five days on the sunny Sunshine Coast at Mooloolaba, cooked breakfasts and lots of wine, a few chocky eggs thrown in - and you can see where my 1.1 comes from. Never mind - back on the old band wagon : 15 kg's here I come!

Tuesday, April 18, 2006

.3 loss - 13.4.6

Lost another .3 today. Where other people are losing up to a kilo regularly - my magic numbers seem to be .2 and .3. So my journey is going to be a long one - as long as they're losses and not gains, then I'm happy.

Thursday, April 06, 2006

1 kg - 6.4.6 Doin the Happy Dance

FINALLY!!!! One whole kilo - bringing me back to 11.4 kilos GONE!!! O What A Feeling!!!!! I didn't do anything different - just kept plodding and doing the gym work. Looking forward to 15 kilos gone.

Bugger Bugger Bugger .2 gain 30.3.6

How many weeks of little losses followed by gains can one girl put up with? I was so sure that I lost yesterday, even if it was only .3. I tracked, drank water and worked my butt off at the gym. But no! I gained .2 AGAIN!!!! Did the hold back the tears thing after weigh in. Am back to the Doctor on Monday and yes he is going to hear of my complaint!!!!!!!!

Saturday, March 25, 2006

.2 loss - 25.3.6 Not enough

Well at least it's going in the right direction. I feel the loss could have been a little more, as I weighed in two hours later during the day and had had 600 ml of water at the gym beforehand. Aren't us weight watchers funny people, we have a reason or excuse for everything. But I also have to remind myself that it was my birthday week and I did go out for Thai on Friday night, I did overdo the alcohol and I did have bites of birthday cake and cheesecake. I only got serious about tracking on Monday.
I have started tracking each day on ETools and sticking to it, I'm going to the gym four to five times a week - so I am expecting a bigger loss next week :-)
Enough of putting in the exercise and sabotaging my points - It's time to get focused again.

.3 loss - 16.3.6

I've lost .3 - second loss in two weeks - Yahoooooo! It's only small, but it all counts. I kind of sabataged myself last night for my birthday - we had burgers, champers and wine. I'll keep plodding along at the gym and doing my points - I will get there. .7 to lose to get back my January weight.

Found a new way to spend money

I finally did it - I visited Peppertown (Virginia Brisbane) last week to look at the beading section - WOW!!!! Booked and did a course yesterday (only $10 plus cost of beads) to make beaded jewellery - it was so easy. If you've ever wondered - go and do it! You'll love it. The tools (x 2) will cost $20 to set up plus cost of beads, I can't wait to go back and make some more - can never have enough jewellery.

Oops - A little more shopping

Made the trip over to the other side of Brissy today and YES the shoes fitted, just had to have them to go with the new chocolate pants. Made a huge mistake though - I took number one son (12) to buy a new hat. Apparently he knows how to shop as well as I do, the hat came along with a new belt and necklace. Then because Surf Vision was closing down and had 40% off we popped in there. Hmmm! The $100 jeans turned out to be $150 down to $90, we bought them, along with about four shirts. It's going to take me until Christmas to pay off this weekend, but everyone looks great in their new clothes.
Have been to the gym each morning this week and with all the walking around shops - if I don't loose something on Thursday - there will be hell to pay.

Am trying to add this 'old' photo to my profile, so please don't say that I look like I'm doing well.

Shopping, Shopping and Shopping

What's worse than going on a shopping blitz and spending too much money - taking your daughter and spending double.
It all started with a top layby, the next day I laybyed some pants to go with the top. Today I decided that now I need the shoes complete the outfit, that's a drive to the other side of Brisbane tomorrow, as they have the only brown size 10 in the style that I WANT AND HAVE TO HAVE. Bought a funky new bag from the kids, and a food processor from hubby for my birthday. Then there were the size 11 brown boots that I had to buy because winter is coming and I ABSOLUTELY NEED them.
Daughter needs new jeans, and they couldn't be any jeans. No we walked the whole of Westfield and arrived back at the first ones at the surf shop - double money of course. New shoes, new top, new pjs - now I have laybys all over town.
Ahhhhh!! Don't you just love that shopping high. Except I walked too far and now my ankles are screaming at me to get in the spa and relax.

.6 loss 9.3.6 The Drought Is Over!!!!!

The gym seems to be paying off a little. I weighed in today and lost .6 yeh for me. Still need to lose that one kilo that I put on back in January. Considering 2006 was going to be my year, it's a slow start. Persistance andPerserverance - I will get there!!!!
Am starting to fit back into my size 18 Rockmans jeans that I wore some five six years ago. This winter I may actually get into my pink outfit that I bought a very long time ago. It's probably gone out of fashion now - but who cares - if I can wear it, I will have achieved something.

Thursday, March 02, 2006

.1 gain - 2.3.6 Stomps feet and pouts

I've gained 1kg, .2 lost .2, gained .5 and today I've gained .1 again.
Reasons:
* New gym membership.
* New little white pills.
* A couple of biscuits I didn't think would matter and the hot chips for dinner when I was too tired to be bothered.
What I'm gunna do about it:
* Continue guzzling water.
* Continue tracking.
* Continue exercising.
* Cut out alcohol this week.
* Tell myself its only a phase that will pass with persistance.

.5 gain - my weight is going in the wrong direction :-(

Oops! .5 gain again!!!
But - I'm okay with this, because of my tiredness, I've switched back to points again, I've changed my exercise patterns and I don't feel any heavier.
So my goal for this week is to keep within my points, continue exercising and look forward to a loss next Thursday!!!

Thursday, February 16, 2006

16.2.6 - Feeling a little better

I've been on medication for 'stress' for eleven days now and thankfully I'm starting to feel better. Not completely, but I'm getting there. I start at Fernwoods gym tomorrow and am really looking forward to using the weights, they seem so user friendly. Lost .2 today, now all I need to do is lose the kilo that I put on a few weeks ago and I'm back on track.

Thursday, February 09, 2006

9.2.6 - Another gain of 200 grams

Oh dear! Another gain of 200 grams. Am still so very tired and have started taking new tablets that don't seem to be helping. Will have to coax my body back into walking and am thinking seriously of joining a gym, but I'm not sure if I will get the use out of it.

Monday, February 06, 2006

2.2.6 - Gained 1 whole kilo!

Whoops! Have been extremely tired since Christmas and it's starting to creep into my weight loss. I didn't weigh in for two weeks and had a 1 kg gain to show for it, but I'm not too worried because I know the reasons for my gain and my journey is a bit two steps forward one step back. I just know that I will get there in the end.
Had my first "You've lost weight" reaction on Saturday night from a lady that I don't see very often - it felt so good, I walked away with a huge smile.

Thursday, January 19, 2006

10% weight loss - 1.2 kg loss this week

Week one of no count, teamed with five and a half hours of walking and I've lost 1.2 kgs this week. That gets me 10% of my body weight GONE!!! 26.7 kg's left to my goal weight - that sounds a whole lot better than 37.9 kg's. Yay for me!!!

Thursday, January 12, 2006

10 kg's gone - woooooooohoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I achieved my 10 kg loss today - very happy indeed.

Totally Awesom Day - 11.1.6

What a totally awesom day I've had. First of all I want to say thank you to Jan and Des for being a part of that.
On the 1.7.5 I started an Alcohol Sabatical on the weight wathcers forum and among the people who came to the challenge were these two wonderful ladies. Cruiky (on the left) and Des (on the right) (I'm in the middle).
Des currently lives in Scotland and we always intended that if ever she came out we would all meet up. Well Des has been out visiting her family over Christmas, and today was that day.
We met up at DFO, had coffee and chatted away like we had all known each other for years.
Thank you so much Jan and Des for an wonderful day and restoring my faith that there are nice people out there.

5.1.6 - Lost 400 grams

I walked and walked until I ached this week and all I got to show for it was a 400 gram loss - that didn't even bring me back to pre Xmas weight!!! Intuition tells me that I'm retaining fluid from TTOM - but that's a small consolation for the effort that I put in when I could have been sleeping in.
I will perservere and see the results next week - 900 grams to reach a 10 kg loss!!!
